Offset is king

People seem to think that saying “fwd offset” means something, just as they think “rwd offset” is an actual fitment. Sorry to break it to you guys, but pretty much all cars these days come standard with higher offset wheels. Its a fact.

A R32 Skyling for instance has 15×6.5″ +45et wheels, my HONDA SHUTTLE is running lower offset than this and I know for a fact it is not Rear Wheel Drive.

People worldwide (not quite NZ yet, but hopefully soon) are realising that “17’s Au!” are not cool, mostly due to the fact that all these Advanti, TSW etc etc wheels are all gay offsets. Sure there is a line you have to draw, you cant have the wheels sticking 5cm out past the guards, and have 165/45’s stretched onto 8″ wheels. But you can be agressive.

16×9″ front, 16×10″ rear, +13et offset all round. Not what I would do to my car, but you cant deny that it looks pretty sweet.

Keep in mind this car would have come stock with 14×6″ +45-50et wheels.

15×8″ +0et *shudder*

15×6.5″ -15et front, 15×8″ -20et rear, fits pretty good eh. Lucky its RWD or they wouldnt fit……..

(that is sarcasm, i know its front wheel drive)

Unsure of the exact offset of these, look to be 15×8″ +15et or so

This has to be RWD right? Or maybe it doesnt have offset at all, it is 4wd afterall.

RWD? no, no it isnt.

Maybe I have got my point across. There is no such thing as FWD or RWD offset. There is a number, use it.

Just need to tell the morons on trademe now

(disclaimer: I do not necesarilly “like” the fitment of all the cars above, however I cant deny they do look pretty damn good)
